get together for TA'ers 9/11-18

Having read your posts regarding your picnic, we are feeling left out!

Anybody want to get together during the 9/11-9/18 timeframe for an adult beverage? (preferably something with a little umbrella in it and served from a coconut...just kidding about that part!)

PZP has told me that she has hula lessons on Friday night, and we are going to try and catch the luau at the Hyatt on Friday, and Capt Andy%26#39;s sunset cruise on Sunday.

Any other time is great for us. We%26#39;re staying at the Pointe of Poipu.

What has been done in the past is have people meet at the torch light ceremony that friday you go to the luau. Depending on what time pzp shakes her grass skirt, she might be able to come down at 5:30 and join you all.

Friday won%26#39;t work for me; class is 6-8:00pm, and I really hate to be rushed.

IMHO, torch lighting is not the ideal time/place to get together. Drinks are expensive and conversation is difficult. If you watch the show, you can%26#39;t converse. If you converse, you can%26#39;t watch the show.

The Luau at the Grand Hyatt is held on Sunday and Thursday nights,from 6:00 to 8:30 PM.

Mrs. S. and I are going to be in the Poipu area from the 9th to the 16th. Always glad to have a drink with a friend.

Hi Shanty! Shanty, please say HI to all those nice Kauai people that you (might) meet. Alas, I won%26#39;t be there, but a big hello to the two of you, and have a great Kauai trip!

Go take a boat tour of the Napali coast for the Caddy (my dream!). And you all go ahead and party without the Caddy; that%26#39;s alright!

Sorry you feel left out. Hope you enjoy your trip and meet lots of TAers. We leave on the 8th so we won%26#39;t be able to make it.

Anyway, by looking at the weather reports, it seems like it usually rains a little in the afternoons. Is this right?

If so, late afternoon during the week might be a good time to get together for ';Sept II event';!

I haven%26#39;t written about this lateley, are you guys still up for an cocktail this week?

It looks like Saturday night is open, or during the week on Mon, Tues or Wed. We are obviously not making alot of firm plans on this one...

We do want to get a zip-line trip in sometime, is during the week the best time?

Who has a suggestion of a place where we can have a drink and talk and won%26#39;t get rushed out of the table?

The weather report will almost say it is going to rain. It probably will rain for a few minutes here and there. Nothing to be concerned about. Appreciate it! No rain, no rainbows.
