I%26#39;m staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village for 11 days, and wonder if there are cheaper places within walking distance to park my car than the $24 valet parking and $20 self parking offered by the hotel. Thanks!
Least expensive place to park car for long periods
The Hale Koa garage is across the street. It is cheaper.
Let me look for an old post from dusty and I will give you the link.

Optional parking at Hale Koa garage or open lot for $12 a day if you are staying close to that hotel. It is in Ft. DeRussy area. Resortquest Waikiki Banyan has parking for $10 a day if you are staying on the Diamond Head end of Waikiki.
This info. is from one of Dusty%26#39;s posts.
I recommend calling or emailing the Hale Koa.

They are great about answering emails.
I also found a map from Dusty that has garages and prices on it. I will send you the link when I find it again.

Does free parking sound good to you ???????
If it does then you can park at the ala wai boat harbour for up to 24hrs without getting a parking ticket and its a 5 min walk to the HHV, just follow the walking path around the lagoon.
If your not going to move your car within 24hrs then your best bet would be the hale koa garage
The Hale Koa/Ft. Derussy garages are $105 for unlimited monthly parking for general public. The attendant at the Fort Derussy lot wasn%26#39;t too helpful and but the very nice lady at the Hale Koa lot explained that if the Fort Derussy lot isn%26#39;t full the monthly pass is good there too. $10 refundable deposit for the pass. Open 24 hrs.
We are here for 10 days so its a better deal than $12/day.
If you really don%26#39;t need your car that much, consider renting only for the days you need it. Plenty of places on Waikiki to rent a car, and they probably have car rental services at the HHV.
just a note .... overnight parking for local people wanting to stay in Waikiki hotels has come done in price. I would suggest that you call or check again for updated parking prices. What is good for Kamaiana%26#39;s should be good for the tourist. We don%26#39;t discriminate against anyone!
Good luck .....
