We%26#39;re going to Kiahuna Plantation for 10 days next July. What can we expect for weather? Thanks!

Poipu Weather in July
Just had a July vacation just down the road from there this July. It was very warm...
Aloha
Mike
Thanks very much. Will it be humid? I%26#39;m not sure what to expect.
';Will it be humid?';
Uh, yes... It%26#39;s a tropical island. It will be about 90 (at least high 80%26#39;s) in the day time and very slowly cool into the 70%26#39;s at night. Finally, at about 3 a.m. it will get fairly cool, and almost always humid. I must say, though, that I actually felt more humidity in Florida than in Hawaii. Most folks who vacation repeatedly in Hawaii take fewer and fewer clothes with each trip. Pack light and only light weight clothing.
Supposedly the ali`i (Hawaiian royalty) spent winters in Po`ipu and summers in Princeville. Sounds right to me!
My brother in law brought his girl friend one time. It was June (similar weather to July). She brought all her makeup, curling iron and hair dryer. It was not too humid but we got the usual daily rain shower. Anyway, her makeup had to be redone everytime we went back to the house. The curling iron was a dismal failure. I wear no makeup and let my hair dry naturally. Usually pulled up during the day since it is pretty warm. I%26#39;m from Calfironia where it is pretty dry. The humity on Kauai is refreshing and great for the skin. The tradewinds keep it very comfortable throughout the day. Ceiling fans help in the house. Pack light, forget the usual stuff (like curling irons) and have a great time! We%26#39;ll be there again in June/July 2009.
We just spent 8 days in Kauai this past July. Like the other poster said...Florida%26#39;s humidity seems worse. It was mainly in the low 80s with very little rain. (Back home it was hitting 100) Only a couple of small sprinkles and one shower in Waimea Canyon and a dousing in Lihue on our last day duing church. I was very comfortable the whole time. Our friends who were staying closer to Lihue at the same time said they had lots of rain!
I find the humidity in Hawaii to be very pleasant and like a previous poster said, it makes your skin feel so nice! Now, if you want to talk humidity that is not so pleasant..try Playa Del Carmen in July! I never had hair that dried.
July in Kauai...Perfecto!
Thanks, everyone, for the info.
Just wanted to let you know that the best snorkeling/swimming in July will be on the northshore - surf will be up on the southern shores. :)
