Westin Maui offer

Anyone else get this Starwood offer in the mail? 5 nights at the Westin Resort and Spa, $185 rental car credit, plus a $75 resort credit, all for $749. Has anyone done this? Do they rope you into going to a timeshare presentation? I did a little research and found even after adding airfare, its about $2000 cheaper than going thru Expedia. I%26#39;ll sit thru the sales pitch to save two grand if thats the case. ALOHA!!!!

Westin Maui offer

We took this deal about 3 years ago and they do not make you do the timeshare preso. We decided to since they gave us another $175 in hotel credits for doing so which we used towards a snorkel trip at the Amex counter. We also upgraded to a convertible which was well worth it and they put the $185 car rental credit towards it. Two sets of in-laws received same offer and visited beginning of this year and both ended up buying timeshare at Westin Villas (we bought when we visited again last year).

I would definitely take advantage of the offer and go!! Enjoy!

Westin Maui offer

My fiancé and I are trying to find some great deals for Maui and this sounds great! What is the promo code for this deal so I check it out

I went looking for this deal but couldn%26#39;t find it, if you have any info please post it.

We leave on the 21st of this month using this great deal. This offer is not opened to everyone. We received the offer because we are Marriott Timeshare owners, and I think they figure that if you onw one ';hotel type'; timeshare you are likely to purchase another. I have heard of others receiving this offer from friends that own Westin properties. But, i%26#39;m not sure how to get this offer otherwise. You are NOT required to take the timeshare presentation, but I%26#39;m sure they will offer you more $$$ if you do, usually $100 or so. We haven%26#39;t decided if we will take the presentation, since if we purchase another timeshare week, it will be at the Marriott. I will give a full report upon my return.

We stayed at that property last year and they were not pushy to us. We already own a timeshare thru starwood though..

Liked the property. Nice rooms - all new inside. The beach is great....the best snorkeling right in front of the hotel - really! Have a good time!

We got our offer thru the mail because we are Starwood Preferred Guest Members. We were asked if we wanted to go on the timeshare presentation but we passed. Then they waved the extra $100 resort credit at us and we took it. A friend wanted to take advantage of the offer as well. We found a link on the Starwood site but it appears that they have taken it off. My suggestion would be to sign up on the Starwood site since it is free and hope that you get the offer in the mail.

I am a Starwood Preferred Guest member and got a call from the Westin in Maui offering the same package... which we booked. I was told on the phone that there is a mandatory 90 minute timeshare on the 3rd day. However, after reading this forum, it doesn%26#39;t seem like this is true. Either way the $749 is less then half of what it is on sale and I%26#39;ll happily sit through the 90 minute presentation to save the money. I%26#39;m good at saying ';no'; at these things (I%26#39;m a lawyer) so I%26#39;m not too worried about their tactics. But I%26#39;ll be even happier if we don%26#39;t have to go.

We have been getting this offer thanks to my mil and fil who gave our name to the timeshare co. Yes, you have to sit through a presentation. I have no need to do it but I do know someone who did it and said it was very low pressure.

If you can make it through the presentation without buying something then it%26#39;s probably not a bad deal.

However, remember there are other ways to save money going to Maui without giving up your precious vacation time.

Dang...I%26#39;m a Starwood Gold member and I have never received an offer like this. %26lt;knocking on the computer screen...Hey Starwood...if you%26#39;re reading this, send one my way!!!!%26gt;

I%26#39;m due for a trip back to the Westin. Sigh.

We did this deal a couple years ago, only the Westin was full, so we stayed at the Sheraton. They did try to get us to attend a timeshare presentation because the Westin Villas were being built, but we cancelled and never attended and no one said anything or pressured us to attend.

We are doing the same deal in August at the Marriott, through Northwest Airlines Worldperks (hubby is a platinum member). We get two or three offers a year (also received another Westin offer a few weeks ago, but passed since we were doing the Marriott offer and could ony be gone five nights since we%26#39;re leaving the kids at home).

I do know this isn%26#39;t the kind of deal you can sign up for or find on your own. You have to receive the offer, and it%26#39;s non-transferable. I%26#39;m not sure how you get on the list, but I think it might have something to do with airline mileage programs/hotel award programs since my husband travels a ton for business and we always have lot and lots of miles. We%26#39;re travelling on award seats in August, so the trip is going to be very, very inexpensive. I guess that%26#39;s the benefit of having a spouse who%26#39;s gone travelling all the time!
