Which would you stay at: Kolea or Hali'i Kai?

My best friend and I are going to spend a week on the BI in February. I think we are going to stay in one of these two condo complexes. Which one is better: Kolea or Hali%26#39;i Kai? Within each resort we are looking for oceanview or oceanfront 2nd or 3rd floor 2BDRM/2Bath. Opinions please because I need to book SOON.

Well, the obvious is that Kolea is much closer to the beach at A%26#39;Bay. But some of the oceanfront Hali%26#39;i Kai units have unbelievable ocean views with nothing in front of you. Both appear to be outstanding.

From what I%26#39;ve been able to determine, the Kolea units all have outdoor kitchens on the lanai, while only some Hali%26#39;i Kai units have grills on the lanai.

I think the decision will come down to the individual condo and the price. Both are very nice complexes.

not even close.....Kolea, has a real beach and is close to everything.... no question Kolea...

I think the biggest difference is that Kolea is a very short walk to the beach. (I wouldn%26#39;t call it right on the beach)

Hali%26#39;i kai has a great pool and cafe/bar right锟斤拷 the waters edge.

I geuss the question is: what is important to you? If you want to walk to a beach, probably Kolea. If you want a new upscale complex that you can get at a lower price, you might consider Hali%26#39;i Kai. I think both will provide comfortable housing, so how much are you willing to pay and if you are paying more, why?

For my October trip, I%26#39;ve rented a condo in Hai%26#39;i Kai because of price. I don%26#39;t need to have the beach a short distance because I%26#39;ll be hiking and walking to other sites of interest on the coast. But I do want clean, modern and updated.
