I'm sorry! I went to Europe rather than Hawaii!

So I had the choice of visiting Europe or Hawaii last month and since I%26#39;ve never really explored Europe, I went there instead. After going I felt guilt! Guilt guilt guilt! I won%26#39;t be doing that again! Though Europe was nice, but i%26#39;m a tropics person. Guilt! Just wanted to share. :P

Well, to heal that overwhelming sense of guilt, I prescribe a week in Hawaii. A sure cure.

I go to europe UK, Switzerland, France every few years to visit and stay with friends..... the prices this last year blew me away... 1 person, staying with friends, with rent a car for just a week... ran me $4000+ for 20 days......camping.... not in haut diggs...gas $8-9 a gallon, crummy one course meals with a beer. $35 for one.

The european travel council president,Ben Dover over ,welcomes all poor Amerians.... make that rich Americans and sends em%26#39; home poor. One night in london hotel, with discount, on sunday night... was $650.00......

Lacking a uncle in Kuwait or Saudi... I wont be returning....

I like both Europe and Hawaii, and I don%26#39;t feel the least bit guilty about it,, geesh, there is a time for laying around , reading my fave novels, eating shave ice, while gazing at the gorgeous blue warm waters of Hawaii,, and I love walking through the historic cobblestoned streets of Paris to visit world class museums and dine on the delights of French cusine.. don%26#39;t even get me started on comparing the physical beauty of the Swiss Alps( look up a town called Wengen) and the lush tropical rainforests of Kaui,, you can%26#39;t compare them, you can only be lucky enough to enjoy both!!!!!!

Yes, i%26#39;m definitely broke after Europe and this was living off of hostels and cheap hotels, eating a one course meal a day, and bargaining our way through. Don%26#39;t get me wrong, Europe has its spots, but i%26#39;m a tropics guy. I can%26#39;t stand the fast pace in the main cities.

I agree about the Swiss Alps. There%26#39;s definitely nothing like it. I was in Murren and went up to Shilthorn. It was spectacular.

But not to get side tracked, i%26#39;m going back to Hawaii on my next trip...fo sho.

my swiss pals come to visit me a lot,,,,,they consider Hawaii cheaper than Spain or Mexico....

Been to Grindelwald and the oberland...for what it cost for a day their you can live here for 4 days...

Wengen...interlaken, Zermatt, figure 200 a day per person... Sorry but the subtile beauty seems to drain from my american wallet like sand through a sieve. .

So now you guys know just how good you have it Prices have gone up since last year you now will pay

bloody hell.....you mean 6 quid a gallon and 7 for a pack of cigs.!!!! Thats up 50% in 2 years.. As far as adopting you ....stand in line ,I have friends in the que ahead of you. In france I remember paying about $20 toll to drive 30 miles as a time. I meet a lot of brits at Kahalulu bay... last week one fellow told me the cheap day return fare London to Portsmouth was 168 pounds... ( 300 dollars for a 2 hour train ride)

Well , smokes may be cheaper in Hawaii, ,but where the heck can you smoke them!!!!!!!!!!!!!??

My friend could not smoke her smokes even OUTDOORS at her hotel, she had to be on the beach or sidewalk, but not within 20 feet of any doorway.. she found it very difficult, and ended smoking in service bays, parking lots, and alleys... funsville. At Dukes, you cannot carry your drink down to the beach to drink and smoke, but you cannot smoke on lower outdoor patio either( where you can drink) . At least ( for the smoker only is this attractive) one can have a glass of wine AND a cigarette together, while seated, in an outdoor cafe in Paris.

Sides , we are comparing apples to oranges.

I don%26#39;t go to Hawaii cause its cheap, it isn%26#39;t , Mexico is WAY cheaper, plus with all the All Inclusives down there we can get air, hotel, food and drinks, for under 2,000 a head at a nice resort.

I go to Hawaii because it is amazingly beautiful, the water is always warm, and the people are super friendly . The sand of the beaches is so soft, the rainforests are magical, the air smells so good,, I just love Hawaii,, but...

Yes, Switzerland is expensive , and it hurts my wallet more then yours ( quit yer b*tchin Amnericans, we Canadians have always had to pay more for anything for like last 30 years anyways,, LOL, and Australians have it even worse ) , but that does not to detract from its stunning beauty.
