Island Gourmet Marketplace, Queens Center

Does anybody know if it%26#39;s open, and how is it. Thanks

Island Gourmet Marketplace, Queens Center

We stayed at the Hilton April14-17, Queens center is open. They%26#39;re still doing construction. Didn%26#39;t seem to betoo much to interest my wife.

Looks like a pretty good food court.

The one to the north Mauna Lai(?) Where Tommy Bahamas is looked better.

the store isn%26#39;t open yet, but the Foodland Farms at the Mauna Lani Shops is very good and has lots of high quality stuff. It%26#39;s more upscale than the Foodland in Waimea, but at the same time the prices are pretty comparable. Stopped in there Monday and they had fresh ono steaks for 6.99 a pound.

Island Gourmet Market has finally opened in September. It is a partnership between ABC Store %26amp; KTA Supermarket. It looks to me like a supersize ABC Store. It has a deli, hot food section, and a sushi bar inside. It also has a lot of Hawaiian souvenir. The wine section is pretty impressive.

It also has a nice meat selection with the much sought after grass feed beef...

Glad the market%26#39;s finally open!

I don%26#39;t know why the grass fed beef is sought after other than health reasons. It%26#39;s tough. I went and bought the Parker Ranch New Yorks at Waikoloa Village Market, and they were very expensive (relative to other steaks) and I was not impressed.

I%26#39;m far from a beef epicure, but I don%26#39;t like chewy steak.

I do not eat meat KK but DH does and he said that the steak he bought there was like colby (sp) and from Parker Ranch; he claims it is like butter...

The marketplace came in very handy during our 7 day stay at the Fairway Villas, we did a BBQ at the condo one night and bought ribs and tri-tip there both were really good.

Grass fed beef less likely to have mad cow.
