Lactose-free milk

I searched for the Lactose free milk. Not soy or Silk need whole lactose free milk for the wife, seems Safeway has it. Was wondering if anyone knows if maybe, the Big Save or the Kukui%26#39;ula Market or there type of markets has it also.

I don%26#39;t know for sure, but pretty positive that Big Save doesn%26#39;t carry it.

Kukui%26#39;ula Store here in Po%26#39;ipu - good possibility - I%26#39;ll look for you when I%26#39;m in there next.

Papaya%26#39;s Natural Foods in Kapa%26#39;a or Hanalei - very probably would carry it as well.

I%26#39;ll report back after I go to Kukui%26#39;ula Store.

Foodland Princeville carries it...

Both Foodland and Safeway carry it. It%26#39;s going to be around $10/gallon, about $9/gallon on sale.

My boys are lactose intolerent.

I am almost positive we got it at Safeway in Kapaa last time. Last March, in Maui, Safeway had it as well.

Thank you for the replies guess it will be Safeway to get the milk. Will post about other locations for future reference, when we get there Sept 8th.

I asked Terri, one of the owners of Kukui%26#39;ula Market if they carry it - they do indeed!

So there is one more place to add to your list - this one right in the Po%26#39;ipu Beach area!

Just to post for future searches, the Kukui%26#39;ula Market does have the Lactaid lactose free milk, but the best price for size is at the Big Saves, you can get the half gallon size for about six bucks.

I do not know if this is really high or not for Lactaid since we do not buy it at home, Albertson has a brand we use which is now about 4 bucks.

The big Saves are a very good small Independent type market with good selection of meat, fish etc, depending on what you want the prices are not bad for being a long way from most of there suppliers.
