Sailboat ride

We don%26#39;t want to go snorkeling, who offers a nice sailboat ride (preferably on a speedier catamaran) for about an hour or so?

Sailboat ride

You can go on speedy monohulls like America II and Scotch Mist out of Lahaina. Maybe a sunset sail on a catamraran? Two hours, speed depends on wind. Paragon%26#39;s boats are the fastest but I am not sure they do sunets. Google them and check.

We booked a sunset 2 hr catamaran through Gemini that departs in Kaanapali. Around $63, champagne %26amp; light food for the trip.

Teralani also does a nice 2 hour sunset champagne sail. It departs right from Kaanapali Beach.

Just finished a very dissapointing sailing day onboard with Trilogy, Lanai sunrise.

Expensive, poor breakfast, 2 1/2 hour stay on the beach with little to drink except from a cooler.

Opt for someone who will take you to multiple snorkeling sites, you can lay at any beach anywhere in Maui for 2 hours and get the same thing!

We did sail aboard America II and it was a good sail. Clean, swift boat - good ride, keeled nicely and caught lots of wind. The skipper said it is pretty much a regularly good wind through West Maui north of Lahaina they head NW with backdrop of Molokai. Nothing cushy about it, but good sailing.

Many good suggestions here - thanks, I%26#39;ll check them out. Do you usually book in advance before you go or when you get to Maui (same day?).

I booked mine in advance. We%26#39;re staying @ Westin vacation villas and their concierge called us if we were interested in anything and we got several packages at the best prices I could find. But I did notice a couple had discounts if you purchased online. I know Gemini had an online discount.
