Where can i change travellers cheques in American dollars with no charge.

I suppose you have tried the hotel front desk and the local banks. The other option is to buy something and get US dollars back in change. We do this at the shop where I work.

I agree with Sheila. The front desk would be the place to start. If your hotel has a business center - that would be an option. If the trav checqs are issued by a particular bank ... and they have a branch in Honolulu, that would work - but it would be a bother.

When we used to use them, we made a habit of breaking a new one whenever we bought something so we would have currency back as change.

If you cashed a travelers check every time you bought something wouldn%26#39;t you end up with a lot of cash - which defeats the purpose of travelers checks ?
