Wedding hair and makeup

I will be getting married on Hanalei Bay in May 2009. I am staying in Princeville. I am looking for somebody to do my hair and makeup for the wedding. I don%26#39;t want to spend a lot of money on this (less than $100) and would really like to have eyelashes included too. Anybody know of anyone? Price is a very important factor here.

there are a couple of older threads on wedding stuff. Use the search function and you may find what you are looking for. To be honest, it might be hard to find someone to come to you for that price. But what do I know.

Good to know...I will keep looking. I would be willing to go to them as well. Wouldn%26#39;t want to drive farther than Kapaa though. I may just end up having to spend more $ too...darn it.

My husband and I were married on Kauai almost 2 years ago and I went to Shear Elegance in Hanalei. I do not remember the stylist%26#39;s name, but she is the ';one'; in that salon who specializes in wedding hair and she did a fabulous job. I was also on a tight budget and I paid about $80 including her tip. Congrats!

Yes that is my suggestion as well. There are not many people on the island to do this. If you are using a wedding planner then ask them.

Regarding Shear Elegance, it%26#39;s Christie Thompson that is the ';wedding'; gal there and she does hair and make-up. She took care of me on my wedding day and was just wonderful. Her website is www.blueskystyling.com if you want more information.

Yep, I agree that Christie would be the one to call. There is also another hair and makeup stylist that come to you, but I don%26#39;t know her pricing.

I got married on Kauai%26#39;s South End on March 20, 2008 and used Dianne Gardner of White Orchids for hair and makeup.I loved her! She did a great job-beautiful,very natural, rain and tears proof makeup:) and simple yet elegant hair.She brought her orchids and eye lashes, and that was all included into $180 total fee. You might be lucky to find someone less expensive, but hotels%26#39; spa charge much more and you have to bring your flowers and pay extra for lashes.Good luck and congrats!
