hi there, we are headed to hawaii (maui and oahu) starting labor day weekend -- our first trip and we%26#39;re so excited!
we are open to any and all suggestions, but specifically does anyone have experience with the entertainment discount books (online at http://www.entertainment.com/discount/home.shtml)? i was interested in seeing if that purchase paid off for anyone who has visited hawaii. our main objective would be to save money on the sightseeing and tourist activities.
thanks in advance for any help!
anyone with advice on entertainment books?
You might want to do a search, as these issues come up often. The 2008 Hawaii book is out of print, but some folks are buying them on E-Bay.
Keep in mind that the Entertainment Books are advertising ... but there are some good deals. Don%26#39;t let the book dictate what you do on your vacation.
FYI - you don%26#39;t need a Hawaii book for Hawaii hotels. They are available in our local (Sacramento) edition and always have been. I%26#39;m assuming that this is the case nationwide.
anyone with advice on entertainment books?
There are all kinds of promotional booklets at the airport luggage areas -- many with discounts!
I just got one for 9.99 and 3.00 shipping. I googled entertainment book and that brought up their site. It took less that 2 weeks to get one. Go for it. The car rental more than paid for it.
We just got back today from Waikiki and Maui. I used our book for a good rate at the Outrigger Waikiki, car rentals, and UFO parasail ride on Maui. It will more than pay for itself! I%26#39;d definitely recommend the UFO parasail! It%26#39;s in front of the Whaler%26#39;s Village on Kaanapali Beach. We did the Deluxe ride for $75 and it was ';buy one, get one free';. My daughter and I rode tandem and it was so much fun!
CARDS, I hope that you will actually RECEIVE the E book for Hawaii that you ordered online yesterday. A couple of months ago, I was able to ORDER online, but then I got a call saying that they were sold out of Hawaii books, and that I could not have one after all! I hope that somehow you will get yours! :-) They are way, way worth the money if you use the discount for a hotel as we will do next month (I can use my Florida one for that).
mr protege .... I was going through my Ebook and realize that I have all the major coupons still attached. What sightseeing tours are you looking for? What activities interested in? Let me know and the coupon is yours. You%26#39;re first in line, let me know what you need.
In-as-much-as I could use them, I have other ways to get myself in to attractions.
Let me know, awaiting your reply .....
Already recieved the book. I%26#39;m good to go.
Even locals use these books. They can pay off if you are planning to eat at the better restaurants. The deals aren%26#39;t valid with any other discounts though, so you could probably do just as well by shopping around.
Wow, If anyone has a coupon that they would be willing to part with for Paradise Cove or any catamarin rides I would be so grateful. We will be leaving for Hawaii on the 2nd of Sept. and its our first time.
As mentioned by Cedric808, locals do love the Ebook. I normally use almost all the fast food chain coupons and it pays for it self.
Hulachick, PM me and give me you wish list. I will forward the coupons that you are requesting. I do have a Paradise Cove and few catamaran rides, let me know.
Just a note for all: TGIF the insert in the Friday%26#39;s Honolulu Advertiser (morning paper) offers many discounted coupons for meals. Check it out and take advantage of the coupons. I use them on the regular bases.
Await you PM......
';Live Aloha';
