We are spending a few days on Maui(Ka%26#39;anapali Beach) and we are flying back to Oahu to catch our International Flight back to New Zealand on the 7th November 2008. We plan to fly with Hawaiian Airlines who seem to have many flights. Can anyone advise how well they stick to their timetable as we do not want to have to waste too much time in Honolulu before our International flight. Also are weather delays common.

Hawaiian is consistantly ranked number one in on time flights.

I should clarify this a bit. Just because they are number one in on time does not mean you can cut it close for your flight home. I realize you want to spend as much time as possible before heading home and if you have a choice of arriving in Honolulu an hour before your flight or perhaps 2 hours I would go with the 2 hours. If something should go wrong with the 1 hour before flight you are out of luck. If something goes wrong with the 2 hours before well you can always try for the next flight.
When you arrive in Honolulu if you have some time to kill check out the shops or drop into the Tiki bar for one last Lava flow or back scratcher before heading home.
Thank you for that. Very helpful. We have to be checked in at least 3 hours prior to our flight back to New Zealand. Do you know if there is anywhere we can store our cases if we have a few hours to go shopping or whatever? We will have spent several days around the Waikiki area prior to going to Maui.
Unfortunatly after 9/11 they took out all the lockers in the airports for security reasons. You should be able to check your bags with the airline. 3 hours won%26#39;t be enough time to actually leave the airport I am afraid.
