College Football ESPN Game Plan

Hello

We will be staying in Kailua and are huge Nebraska Husker Fans. We are looking for a sports bar that has the ESPN Game Plan. Would anyone suggest or recommend somewhere?

Thank you

Lea

You guys still play football?

I thought they closed the Division I program after Osborne left. At least that%26#39;s what it has looked like.

Sorry, couldn%26#39;t help myself.

Unless you are talking about the Missouri game in a couple of weeks or Oklahoma in November, there will be zero interest in any local sports bar to watch it...and really not much more for those two.

Can%26#39;t help you in Kailua. But there is a bar in Waikiki which swears they will get you any game being televised in virtually any sport in the world. So you might want to contact the Legends Sports Pub at:

http://www.legends-sports-pub.com/

It is a ';Bring Your Own Food'; joint, which is cool because there are tons of interesting places to eat within a couple of blocks.

Two things to remember: the game may start as early as 8 or 9 AM Honolulu time; and, you may have to compete with some Punjabi cricket fans for the tube.

Nice dig and Thank you for the information. I will check out Legens. I am sure even in Oahu there are Husker fans!

Thanks

Lea

It is actually NU vs. Virgina Tech, so it might have interest. More than the Mizzou, or any other Big 12 team. There isn%26#39;t anything on the windward side of the island?

Dnb...

Virginia Tech?

I can%26#39;t recall running into any Husker faithful in three decades of Oahu sports bars; but I%26#39;m sure there has been a few. But VT? Man that%26#39;s real stretch from 6,000 miles.

Every fan loves the Husker/Sooner matchup, and issouri got a lot of local attention last year.

dnbhusker, Kailua is a residential town/city, not exactly a tourist haven. It would be like walking into a bar in Albany and expecting them to have every Big 10 game available on TV. Your best bet is Waikiki.

Well, you%26#39;re almost in luck.

ABC is carrying the NU VT game on the 27th as part of their Saturday Night Football schedule (2pm start locally here). Unfortunately they are also have the Illinois Penn State game on their slate and plan to split which game they show by region. Right now, ABC is leaning toward shownig the Illini PSU game on the west coast / Hawaii feed, but things could change. They%26#39;re saying that some of the satelite links in the eastern half of the states are kind of flakey from the weather and they may go with the Husker game. If you go to a place with satellite like the Shack in Kailua, they may be able to pull in eather game. Problem is it%26#39;s kind of hit and miss and they probably won%26#39;t know if they can get it until game time. Your best bet would probably be to go over the hill to Legends like Amber suggested if ABC does indeed decide to show PSU. They%26#39;ll usually tell you for sure sometime the week before the game.

Good luck to the Huskers the rest of the way. I%26#39;d like to see them go undefeated and play USC in the national championship game!

Now if the Wahine could just figure out a way to beat the Lady Huskers in the volleyball tourney? Hopefully we%26#39;ll be able to host the tourney out here some time...we can definitely draw a bigger crowd than any other women%26#39;s v-ball probram.

You are in luck! You might catch a glimps of around 30-40 Husker fans while we are in Hawaii for our best friends wedding. Some of my favorite Husker players are from Hawaii (Tony Tata, Fiona Nepo, Dominic Railo and Tonui Fonoti) Those were the good old days. We are not fairweather fans our blood runs Husker Red!

Go Big Red

Tiare%26#39;s is a sports bar in Kailua. Haven%26#39;t been to it so don%26#39;t know how good it is for games on TV.

Thanks Dusty I will check it out.

If you go to waikiki, we like Giovanni Pastrami on Beach walk. Good TVs and free pizza in the afternoon. The other good place is Round Table Pizza next to the Princess K, a wall of big screens.
