Eating at a bunch of nice, romantic restaurants for our honeymoon, but would like a suggestion on a fun (music) and casual (shorts) place for dinner where we can eat burgers, fish tacos, etc. and drink some beers and mai tais. We%26#39;re staying at the Four Seasons, so if you could suggest someplace within walking or short cab ride from there that would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Fun %26amp; Casual Dinner
i dont think there is a restaurant on the island that would turn you away because you were wearing shorts and a golf or hawaiian shirt
Fun %26amp; Casual Dinner
I would recommend Mulligans on the Blue - close to the hotel, casual, lots of beer choices and often live music.
Mulligans on the Blue is a casual Irish sports pub. Some nights have live entertainment. Food is excellent escpecially the corned beef. It%26#39;s on the golf course and matches what you%26#39;re asking for. For a real bar atmosphere but mediocre food go the other way to Kihei and hit Life%26#39;s a Beach (longer cab ride and additional bars within walking distance). Pool table, tables on Kihei road, always entertainment.
We like Stella Blues in Kihei. It has a fun casual atmosphere, especially outside. They make a great Mai Tai (IMO).
Definately check out Mulligans - look into their Wailea nights as well
Depends what the OP means by fun. Mulligan%26#39;s if you%26#39;re really looking for great food. Stella Blues in Kihei is a step up to club atmosphere and definately a good choice. Still longer cab ride than Nulligan%26#39;s.
Lulu%26#39;s is fun and has a good casual and tasty menu. It%26#39;s upstaris in the Kalama village center.
We caught some NFL games here, live music and cold beer and good munchies.
My vote would be for Mulligans. The restaurant is very, very close to the Four Seasons - it is lots of fun and a great selection of brew.
Wailea Nights has been pau for some time. Barry and Eric are now doing Ka`anapali Nights now on select Saturdays, up at the Royal Lahaina. They have had several special guests sit in in recent weeks.
Do check the schedule at Mulligans before heading up there. There have been a lot of changes recently, the biggest being the departure of violinist Willie Wainright, meaning an end to Gypsy Pacific, who have long been the Monday night band at Mulligans. Sundays are very popular, with the Celtic Tigers, but I wonder how Willie%26#39;s departure will affect them as well? We%26#39;ll see this week! But other nights at Mulligans can be very quiet, with no entertainment.
Plan accordingly! Ask the concierge to get you a copy of MauiTime Weekly when you get in and check out who is playing where on what night.
The previous posters had excellent suggestions. I agree with Mulligans and Stella Blues. (I show up covered up just a bit more than usual! Blushing...)
